Andy Burnham is missing a huge opportunity right now to bring Thames water into public hands Thames Water is on the brink of collapse and is asking creditors for yet another bailout at our expense Sign our petition to heap pressure on him before a bailout decision is made on Thursday 29th Oct: weownit.org.uk/act-now/thame…
Andy, we know just the policy prescription: public ownership. 😉 Water run for the people who pay the bills. Democratic accountability. Money reinvested in fixing pipes and cleaning rivers. Happy to pop round with the notes. Some of us have kept them handy.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Chancellor Healey rules out CGT rise. That's bad news for a former Mayor of Manchester who famously once said “we have overtaxed labour and undertaxed wealth." Our thoughts? 👇🧵1/4 theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

What is the status of the Palestinian citizens in Israel? Separate and Unequal. Here is a list of resources that illustrates their inferior status in a regime of Jewish supremacy: 🧵 1/n
This is utter nonsense, the Arabs are fully equal citizens. The nation-state law regulates the flag and anthem and simply declares that Israel cannot be transformed into a non-Jewish State because it is the only jewish state on earth.

"As tired as activists may feel after three years of solid campaigning, it is essential for the movement to now press its advantage." My latest piece for @LabourOutlook, 'What next for the Palestine movement?' @LondonRegionCND @STWuk @PSCupdates #FreePalestine 🇵🇸
Following the shift in the government's stance on Israel's illegal occupation and war crimes, the Palestine movement is keeping the pressure up. In our Red Weekly Column, Conor Bollins writes about why building mass pressure works and what comes next 🇵🇸 labouroutlook.org/2026/10/13…

For too long, bogus self-employment has allowed companies to drive down labour costs, shift risks onto workers and deny them decent pay and proper protections. It also allows parcel operators to undercut Royal Mail and companies that directly employ their staff, creating an unfair playing field that rewards bad employers. This consultation is an important step forward in a campaign the CWU has fought for years and welcome news for thousands of workers who deserve better. We will press the government to introduce robust, non-negotiable rules that close loopholes, protect workers’ rights and create a level playing field across the world of work. gov.uk/government/news/new-a…

Solidarity with @RichardBurgon and the other Labour MPs who voted against the Government’s proscription of Palestine Action. The right to protest is a basic civil liberty and must be treated as such.
When I voted against proscribing Palestine Action, I warned there could be so many draconian consequences. We've had the ridiculous arrests of thousands for simply holding a sign. And now this against one of the best writers of her generation. This ban needs to be overturned.
