So new build homes only then. In Nottinghamshire where the median salary is 27k the cheapest two bed new build terrace is 250k a 3 bed semi is 350k this is a fucking farce to keep property developers afloat. And saddle people with 50 year mortgage. This is a shower of shit.

It’s not Help to Buy, but it sort of is? Andy Burnham will unveil “Your First Home” at Labour Conference with a new equity loan scheme for hopeful first-time buyers with just a 2.5 per cent deposit. The 20 per cent equity loan will be available on new build homes. Developers will be asked to pay a fee to participate in the scheme. A reminder that all the aspects of our economic system are made up and we can have a better system if we wanted to. Homelessness for example. We could have an economy that builds homes for homeless people. It does not have to be this way.
