Daily @_MathAcademy_ update, 800-day streak 🔥
Today I hit 800 days of doing math daily!
I didn’t notice until I came here to post, it was just another day of doing math during lunch out at a restaurant.
Today was more work with matrices, which was fun.
I’ve had less time for math since getting back to building stuff I’m excited about, but still do at least a little every day to keep making progress slowly but surely.
The journey has been more rewarding than I could have imagined. It’s hard to explain how positively it has impacted my life. And interestingly, it also got my kids into math since they always see me doing it.
Math Academy makes it as easy as it could be, so every minute I spend is doing exactly what I should be doing and not trying to figure out what to do next. If you’re an adult who values your time, it’s well worth the money to streamline the journey and I highly recommend it!

There are all kinds of cheat codes lying around, but they usually look boring. People will routinely ignore things that already work for the hope of a slightly easier path. The cheat code is the work you're avoiding.

A Monday morning question for you:
Forget about the outcome and focus on what precedes it. Am I putting myself in good positions and creating the conditions for success?

The feeling of progress is one of the best feelings of all. This is true even when progress is small.

It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it.
If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process, is to guarantee disappointment.

Being kind to yourself is mostly about your thoughts.

If you're eager to learn—even if you aren't particularly talented—then you can make it a long way despite your shortcomings.
But if you're not eager and curious, you'll find your natural abilities often fall short of what is required.

You don't have to be good at everything, you just need to double down on what you're naturally suited for.

When choosing a new habit many people seem to ask themselves, “What can I do on my best days?”
The trick is to ask, “What can I stick to even on my worst days?”
Start small. Master the art of showing up. Scale up when you have the time, energy, and interest.

Habits are best built through successive iterations.
Start simple. Ridiculously simple.
So simple that it seems almost pointless.
Because the goal isn't to achieve greatness on day one. It's to get the ball rolling.
