Hi everyone, we have released an important update for the HaLoWave Network, HaLoWave Miners and HaLoWave Wi-Fi Routers. Here are the two main updates: 1. 6-Digit Code Verification Email We have introduced a 6-digit confirmation code via email to increase user security. If your email is configured in the settings on console.halowave.io/, you must now enter the 6-digit code to unlock your device. (Note: We highly recommend everyone to add their email to receive also alert notifications in case the device goes offline). The 6-digit code is also required to change the owner wallet address and email, blocking any unauthorized changes in case your wallet is compromised. (Note: Always protect your wallet and be careful not to click on strange links). 2. Data transfer 1 MHz on country 863-870 MHz For operating regions in the 863-870 MHz band, where the duty cycle obligation must be respected, the data transfer channel has been reduced from 2 MHz to 1 MHz. Unlike the United States, for example, where the shift from 4 MHz to 8 MHz provides an increase in speed, going from 1 MHz to 2 MHz doesn’t offer a real speed improvements at long distances. Instead, the 1 MHz channel guarantees a much greater stability for long-distance installations, such as the cameras we are testing. While short-range setups will experience a decrease in maximum speed, the absolute priority of the network is to offer the best stability and performance for long-distance use cases. Following this update, the Proof of Data Transfer (PoDT) Hard Cap for users in 863-870 MHz countries is no longer 50 GB, but is now set to 20 GB. By consuming 20 GB daily via for example the HaLoWave Wi-Fi Router, you can achieve the maximum 3.00x multiplier as stated in the Tokenomics. Global regions without these restrictions maintain the 50 GB Hard Cap. Important Tokenomics Update: The New 4x Pioneer Boost! 🚀 Hi everyone, following our internal review and listening to your feedback, especially from fleet operators and hosts (specially thanks to Viamir e Jeezus), we realized that the previous 1.5x multiplier wasn't enough to properly incentivize the installation of new HaLoWave Miners in empty hexagons. Furthermore, the old system was too punitive: losing your boost just because another user joined your hex penalized the exact people who did the hard work of opening that zone first. To expand the network as widely as possible and strongly reward those who map new areas, we have updated the Tokenomics with a fundamental upgrade. Here are the rules for the new Pioneer Boost (M_Pioneer): Massive 4x Multiplier for Pioneers: 🔥 The first miner installed in a new hexagon now claims the biggest multiplier in the entire equation: a massive 4x. If other miners are installed in the same hexagon later, your bonus no longer deactivates! The newcomers will simply receive the base 1x multiplier, while the first miner permanently keeps its 4x. Uptime Requirement & Grace Period: ⏱️ To keep your Pioneer Boost, your device must maintain an uptime >= 95%. If your uptime drops below this threshold, a 14-day grace period will automatically activate. If you don't fix the issue and bring your uptime back to 95% before this grace period ends, your miner will lose the Pioneer Boost, and it will automatically pass to the second miner installed in that hexagon. Retroactive Application for Current Miners: 🔄 This rule doesn't just apply to new miners! For current hexagons where you are the only active miner, the 4x Pioneer Boost will be applied immediately. If there are already two or more HaLoWave Miners installed in the same hexagon, the 4x Pioneer Boost is being assigned to the miner that currently has the highest uptime. The goal is to incentivize the installation of HaLoWave miners in new, unmapped zones and to reward better, high-quality RF setups. Here is a breakdown of the new rules: 1. The Pioneer Boost: If your miner is the only active device in the hexagon, you now receive a Pioneer multiplier boost of 1.50x. This heavily encourages the installation of new HaLoWave miners in new, unmapped zones. Please note: If another HaLoWave miner will be installed in the same hexagon, the Pioneer boost deactivates and your floor returns to the classic 1.0x. 2. Beacon Quality & Distance: We are implementing new distance multipliers to prioritize wide coverage. Beacons are now weighted by distance: - Grid Distance 0 (Same Hex): 0.05x (Less beacon rewards to discourage if someone wants to install only in the same hexagon). - Grid Distance 1 (Adjacent): 1.0x (Standard). - Grid Distance ≥ 2 (Distant): 1.3x (Bonus reward for demonstrating excellent HaLow RF range beyond adjacent hexes). 3. Link Symmetry (Mutual vs. One-Way): Long-distance HaLow connections can sometimes be asymmetrical. To properly reward great antenna placements that pick up distant beacons, we have introduced a symmetry factor: - Mutual Witness (Bidirectional): 1.0x (Both miners successfully hear each other). - One-Way Witness (Unidirectional): 0.5x (Only one miner will receive the beacons, but it still proves good RF coverage reached at the destination).
