Two changes could stop most of the PvE griefing that I'm seeing in clips
1- Players phase through each other which would stop bodyblocking doors/bull rushing
2- Only the key users can enter key rooms until that key user leaves the key room. Maybe an invisible wall? idk
Is the solution to this to keep bandaid fixing the things these griefers are doing or is human nature in gaming toxic enough that the entire idea should be scrapped?
Contrary to the clips I've seen, I've had zero negative interactions like that in my PvE raids.
These videos show the most minor of inconveniences 😂
Video 1: "RETURNING AUTOMATICALLY IN X:XX" literally just wait for the doors to close
Video 2: Raider has a Hullcracker, chooses not to shoot the shredder, then.. *checks notes* EXTRACTS!
Video 3: Choosing not to shoot the Wasp is a bold move. Do that, jump on top of the gondola and leave, which they eventually did.
This is what players are outraged about in PvE? In every situation, the raider successfully extracted lol
After 7 hours with the PvE toggle ON, heres what happened:
0 annoying trolls
0 players trying to aggro ARC at me
0 key room loot stealing goblins
A bunch of VOIP and banter
A bunch of guitar/banjo/harmonica players
Trolls are always going to exist in some form. That's a human nature problem, not something created by the PvE option.
The clips I've seen of players doing everything they can to get others killed or stopping them from extracting or getting into key rooms and taking loot before the key user can, can be remedied. Remember, this is only a test.
First day was pretty great. We talked about a bunch of possible solutions to hypothetical problems that could arise but so far it seems to have worked out well.
My guess is they want to see how the PvE toggle performs independent of the free weekend.
Let people try the PvPvE version as the game was originally intended for free, then let people who want to stay test the PvE only experience.
Makes sense, no?

The only thing I didn't understand is why they will only enable PvE on the 13th. The game has just received the biggest update ever and the highest player count in months, yet they purposefully delayed one of the most expected features, if not the most expected one.
This is going to be HUGE

I’m amazed that none of the big 3 vertical video platforms have thought of this.
All of them let you choose a thumbnail/cover frame from the video in the same way, but when you’re trying to select the single perfect frame, the horizontal slide bar sucks.
The solution: add some buttons on the left and right sides to go forward and backward 1 frame at a time!
Perfect choice every time. Yeah you can upload a whole new custom thumbnail too, but that’s not always necessary
📻 Next week in ARC Raiders - August 24 - 30
Ermal is bringing a fresh rotation of trades next week to help you crush your latest trials during your adventures Topside!
Gear up to pop Ticks, unleash bullet swarms on Wasps, and stack your inventory with Light Impact Grenades to start raining explosive fastballs.
🤯 Biiig milestone! 25k on YouTube!
The wild part is this has mainly been from shorts and livestreams since I haven't done any full videos in a minute.
Thanks to all who enjoy the vids & streams and to everyone that's stayed with me while changing gears.
Feels like the perfect time to finally bring the long-form videos back 👀
