Folks, the Houston Landing closes this week, putting dozens of journalists and staff out of work. Given the significant remaining need, we've increased our fundraising goal to $15,000.
We're 74% of the way there, but we need your help. Please share widely:

We're very lucky to have so much support from unions across the country while bargaining for a fair severance package.
During today's meeting, union representation from all over came to speak in support of the Houston Landing NewsGuild.
Thank y'all. 🤍

The Austin NewsGuild stands in solidarity with journalists in the @HTXLandingUnion and urges Houston Landing leadership to bargain fair severance for a newsroom that has served its community faithfully.
Please consider writing a letter of support!
We only have 3 days before the company's pending closure, and @Hou_Landing leadership continues to offer substandard severance packages.
We're asking YOU to stand with us. Send emails to our board of directors demanding they return with a fair offer.
