From March 25–27, the #PSCF took place in Mumbai, where members of the Global NPO Coalition on FATF contributed to key panels. They emphasized the need to rethink financial crime risk, ensure financial inclusion for #NPOs, and revise #FATF standards to support humanitarian work.
@HSCollective participated in the #VallettaPrinciplesNARS @UN conference hosted by @UN_CTED & #Malta. During the panel, our Deputy Director Fulco van Deventer emphasized the need to involve local communities and #CivilSociety in #CounterTerrorism strategies.
At the #NoMoneyForTerror conference, @HSCollective Executive Director Lia van Broekhoven joined @ElisadeAnda from @FATFNews, Ned Conway from #WolfsbergGroup, and Carolin Gardner from @EBA_News in a panel on balancing security measures with financial access for #NPOs.
Lia van Broekhoven stressed the need for stronger #NPO engagement in risk assessments to ensure #CFT measures do not disrupt vital humanitarian, peace-building, and development work.
