Interactive math for the win! Students used bean bag coordinates and walked the "rise" & "run" to find the slope! And kept coming back to this tool to check their work!
One of my favorite things about HMES is our outdoor garden space that provides opportunities for hands on learning! (And bonus that it's right outside our classroom window!)

Excited about these new titles that came today! The 6th grade class of 2020-21 bestowed funds to purchase books for the library. They helped me last spring choose titles that they felt best represented HM. Waiting eagerly for the rest! @PTAHMES @HollinMeadowsES @HM_MsPalma

For our last summer garden adventure, we learned how to find and harvest lettuce seeds in order to start more plants! (no store packets needed!)

The kiddos wanted anyone interested to be able to participate in Fun Friday this week so they voted on a hybrid Pet/ Future Pet/ Zoo Animal Day!! It was an interesting Morning Meeting!
