On the Feast of Crispin Crispian — Saint Crispin’s Day — it only seems fitting to post an image of HMS Crispin.
#Barclaycard are ending the ability to service your account on their website from next month, and forcing people onto their app. I can see the direction in which this is going.
Today is the Feast Day of Saints Crispin and Crispian, martyred in the Year of our Lord 286. #retake

Yup, unless you have your people in power, you're not in power.
This popped up in a bar earlier, haven’t heard it in years. #SaturdayNightDisco

Uprising the Movie is worth a watch to understand how far back the rot of Western civilization goes.
Western political revolutions don't fight against tyranny. They fight for "better" tyranny.
It's always "no taxation without representation", instead of no taxes at all.

Joshua Michael found an access token on Flock's public website.
No login required. No authentication. Just sitting there.
He downloaded Flock's entire database. 300,000 device locations. 170,000 cameras. 130,000 other hardware units. 27,000 acoustic detectors.
Made a map. Published it September 23.
The Senate held a hearing on Flock the same day. Cited Michael's research.
Flock panicked.
Sent a cease-and-desist. Used a brand-protection vendor called Doppel to claim trademark infringement.
The map said it wasn't affiliated with Flock. Doppel didn't care.
Michael's site went dark.
Then Proton moved it to Swiss servers.
Now it lives on protonmcp.org. Untouchable. Uncensorable. Hosted by an encryption company in a country that doesn't care what Flock wants.
The irony is crystalline.
Flock left an access token on the internet. Michael used it to download their own data. Published it. Flock tried to suppress it.
Proton said suppressing it is suppressing information.
Which is true.
The map shows Flock has 150,000 more cameras than they publicly claimed.
Shows acoustic detection units mapping human speech across the country.
Shows which police departments have access to the whole network.
Flock doesn't want that visible.
So they tried trademark infringement.
Which only worked until Proton decided transparency matters more than Flock's feelings.
Now everyone can see exactly how many cameras are watching their car. Where they are. Which cops can see them.
Michael warned Flock about the exposed token in November 2025.
Flock ignored him.
Then got mad when he used it.
The surveillance company that claims to protect privacy just tried to suppress the only map showing how much they actually surveille.
And failed.
‼️ Proton is hosting a map of 300,000+ Flock surveillance device locations that Flock tried to get taken down.
Researcher Joshua Michael says he pulled them from Flock's own systems via a token left open to anyone.
Proton calls the takedown "an attempt to suppress information."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

Toronto's media department are having a bad day.
New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area.
Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer.

Latest budget leak: the taxman will be able to grab cash direct from your bank account.
Healey will announce new powers for HMRC to automatically deduct money from current and savings accounts when they fail to engage with the taxman, reports the Times.
There will be no need for HMRC to get a court order to begin deducting payments.
The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) attacked the policy.
“We have heard of debts being pursued while claims are still outstanding because of HMRC delays or errors, as well as difficulties contacting HMRC to resolve queries,” said Jon Stride, chair of the ATT’s Technical Steering Group.
This is bound to be a really disastrous policy as HMRC often gets its figures wrong and fails to respond to taxpayers who point this out.

As Lufthansa’s Airbus A340-600 operates its final scheduled passenger service, let’s give this long-haul workhorse its flowers.
The A340-600 is an absolute beast of an aircraft, and here’s what makes it special.
At 75.27 metres long, it was the world’s longest passenger aircraft until the Boeing 747-8 arrived.
Unlike the A340-300 with four CFM56 engines(hairdryes), which we avgeeks joke about saying "needs the Earth’s curvature to help it climb," the -600 packs four Rolls-Royce Trent 556 engines producing roughly 56,000 lbf of thrust each.
Then there’s Lufthansa’s coolest cabin: instead of keeping all the washrooms on the main passenger deck, Lufthansa moved five lavatories to the lower deck, accessed by stairs. On an 11-hour economy flight, that extra walk is a chance to stretch your legs and get the blood flowing.
It’s a clever use of cabin space, freeing up room on the main deck for passenger seating.
And underneath this stretched fuselage sits an additional centreline main landing gear, helping distribute the loads imposed by this massive aircraft.
An unmistakable silhouette. Farewell, you magnificent quadjet.
