Came on a lake trip with family to Bull Shoals and Table Rock. 1st day was a bust, but thankfully the local Merc dealer had one of these in stock. Now, finish my drink and redneck up this parking lot!
Watching the USC and UNC baseball game and am embarrassed by the effort made by those USC defenders on the last 2 plays of the the game. Glad they didn't win after seeing that, but feel bad for the pitcher.

These are the two most important plays all season long ….The officiating was great all game long, but was questionable at best in OT.
How do you call 53 yards in penalties in OT? What do you think? Are these pass interference penalties or not?

I hate when I check myself for ticks and think I'm all good. Take a shower, cook dinner, and sit down and watch TV. Then find 3 seed ticks crawling around on me. How many did I miss?

The goal of operation Arctic Frost was clear: to sweep up conservatives and get rid of the Left’s fiercest opponents.
We’ve never seen anything like this in the history of our nation—it’s chilling.
Finished my first round of planting today. Put out 2200lbs of wheat on about 20 acres spread out between 14 plots. About 1/2 way done for the fall. Still need 100lbs of clover and another 1000lbs of wheat.
This time of year makes me wonder..is 28 food plots (45 acres) in poor soil worth the time, cost, and frustration. I think I should spend more effort on my 400ac spot that has 3 plots (15 acres) with great soil. But, backyard vs hr drive...
The lack of economic knowledge on X is very concerning.Whether dealing with Ag/NR markets, domestic economy, or trade and its implications people are ignorant. Many think a switch is flipped and stuff just changes.Worst is that both sides seem to want a command driven economy.

Albert Pujols takes Kerry Wood deep after a high & tight heater. Mike Shannon proceeds to give one of the greatest calls of all-time. “Hello 4th of July”
RIP Mike🕊️
So strange. I make a comment about frying food (which I'm kind of an expert on) and the original poster rangermonk blocks me. So, I'll state again. Who has time to double cook fries? Need to get the next batch going. And beef tallow is too $$$ using big fryers.

All world leaders are ordained by God. From Pharaoh, to Herod, to Pilate, to Pope John Paul II, to Obama and Trump, to the latest pope. Leaders are chosen by God for our blessing, discipline, or punishment and judgment, and absent discernment, it’s often difficult to understand which one we are being subjected to.
Biblical Israel was given wonderful leaders and evil leaders. The modern world is no different, because humans are no different, and God is no different.
The pope is both a religious leader and a political one—he heads a church and a nation-state and is a major world leader, so his political views absolutely matter. In this case, he’s an American who voluntarily weighed in on controversial American political issues over more than a decade. Presumably his colleagues were aware of those views. Maybe they picked him in spite of those views, or maybe they picked him because of those views.
Will his previous political statements dictate the entire of his papacy? I would hope not. But they clearly tell us something about his priorities and worldview. He tweeted or retweeted left-wing political takes on immigration, George Floyd and BLM, global warming, and gun control. He attacked Trump and Vance. And he did all those things even though they weren’t really part of his job at all. He chose to make himself a part of the political conversation. That makes his beliefs on those issues especially noteworthy.
And so now he’s part of the political conversation, and with that comes political criticism. That’s not a statement about Catholic doctrine or theology. It’s not about Protestantism vs. the pope. It’s just reality.
Hopefully he will understand going forward that his new duties are bigger and more important than retweeting midwit MSNBC-esque takes on American politics. But ignoring that he went out of his way to let the world know his political views is foolish.
They don’t tell us everything about what he believes, but they tell us something. And that something isn’t great. With any luck, he understands that now, too.
If you aren't Catholic then you don't believe that this Pope was elected through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, so you'll troll through his twitter feed and analyze his selection through a modern political lens, as if he was just elected to a seat in the US senate rather than the Chair of Saint Peter.
If you are a believing Catholic then you do (or should) believe that his election is ordained by God. You view it through the lens of 2,000 years of Church history and the eternal will of the Almighty God. From that perspective, playing the gotcha game with old tweets is silly and bizarre.
This is why any conversation about the Pope on this site is destined to be disjointed, confused, and ultimately useless.
