Improving breast cancer screening, breast density education, and timely follow-up is essential to helping women make informed decisions about their health. HHS, through the Office on Women’s Health (OWH), is coordinating efforts with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and DenseBreast-info.org to strengthen screening practices, expand access to reliable breast density information, and address delays in diagnostic follow-up. Together, these efforts aim to support earlier detection and improve care for women nationwide, particularly midlife women.
