Sam’s brewing journey began at university, where a passion for homebrewing inspired him to pursue brewing. His creation, Hoppy Scholar, is a 4.5% American Blonde Ale brewed with JW Lees’ classic ale yeast.

His creation is a 4.5% British Golden Ale, combining heritage Chevallier malt and classic Goldings and Fuggles hops with modern Harlequin and Olicana varieties. The result celebrates traditional British brewing.
