I feel like the one thing we should all be able to agree upon is that the US doesn't start or fight wars to liberate the oppressed peoples of the world from oppression. If anything, it far more frequently imposes repression.
So maybe the next time the USG pretends it's starting a war for noble and emancipatory reasons, we can at least laugh at that and then fight over the actual motives?

Remember when Trump pretended for like 3 weeks that the point of invading Venezuela was to free the Venezuelan people and restore democracy and a bunch of MAGA ahderents went around repeating that? Same thing for Iran.
Then Trump made clear these wars had nothing to do with freeing anyone so now they say: yeah, that's not our role!

Imagine any other foreign country's population or elected officials getting this sort of treatment - essentially as a constituency- from a US congressman. It's really quite bizzare in that context.
Why is a US congressman using X to persuade the electorate and government officials of a foreign country to improve said country's public image in order to continue the flow of US taxpayer dollars and weapons to said country. Very strange-Does he represent Israel or California?

The interviewer does not push back morally when told that it’s ok to kill children because they will grow up to be terrorists. Instead she asks “aren’t these the actions that get us in trouble?” That gives you the entire Israeli mindset in one exchange. The murder of children is not a moral problem. It’s a PR problem.
