That cat looks like me! Apparently I'm a Norwegian Forest cat although I've never been to Norway, or even a forest 😸 We're a bit smaller than Maine Coons but very similar ❤

🌺 The Stourbridge Shuttle is wearing its poppy with pride!
We’re displaying a poppy in our window once again to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal as we prepare to support the upcoming Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade.

So many wonderful cats, each with a special story. Some bring communities together, others offer comfort, and all make our world brighter.

Please don't put wildlife at risk by using fake spider webs for Halloween. These synthetic webs are incredibly dangerous for our birds, bees, insects and other wildlife who can get tangled in them and perish. Please share to raise awareness.

Someone. Has. Opened. The. Fridge
Nobody move
Nobody breathe
And whoever is standing near that fridge had better be fetching chicken
P.S. If that's just someone getting the milk out for a cup of tea, there will be consequences.

🐾 WELL, WOULD YOU LOOK AT ME! 📺🐈
From platform pawtrols to BBC Midlands Today!
Yes, yours truly has been on the telly this evening, talking about my book and my song!
Not bad for a ginger bloke who spends most of his working day asleep. 😂
Here’s my moment of fame!

The FC is on BBC Radio WM this morning, sometime between 8–9am!
Apparently, they want to discuss my book, Just George.
Naturally, she’ll take all the credit. I only supplied the looks, talent and 12 years of material. 🙄
FC, PLEASE don’t embarrass me! 🧡🐈

🆘🆘 LUCEE (ID 103725), 11 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 7/24/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - not good with kids. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/13/26
➡️ SENIOR ALERT
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️🆘🆘 7th Chance on Emergency Placement List – ON BORROWED TIME – SHELTER AT CAPACITY- NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP LUCEE - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK –🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 80 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ LUCEE IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: I would do best in a home with only adult humans. I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy! Lucee tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

Little did anyone know that this innocent-looking kitten would one day supervise an entire railway station, have a train named after him and become a published author.
Not bad for a small ginger chap, really.

Jackson dropped a cake into Stourbridge Junction… WITH MY FACE ON IT!

Huge thank you to Jackson! 🧡
One question…
WHO AUTHORISED THE CONSUMPTION OF MY FACE?

Today my lovely Supervisor Russell retires after 35 years on the Railway. 🧡
I’m delighted for him, but nobody consulted me about the withdrawal of one of my favourite laps!
Thank you for the cuddles, Russell. I’ll miss you.
P.S. Retirement doesn’t cancel cuddle duties! 🐾
