Scotland’s chronic housing crisis sits at a critical juncture: 3 LAs with declared housing emergencies & a bleak budget for the upcoming year.

Key @H_F_S training calls include the need to ensure understanding of the Local Development Plan process, the appropriate use of planning conditions, development economics/site viability and the appeals process (including costs for both applicant and local authority).

With housing fundamental to the social wellbeing of everyone living in Scotland, from their physical and mental health to education, learning and so much more, I am delighted to be supporting this year’s #ScottishHousingDay which is focusing on careers across the sector.

Scotland simply cannot afford, either socially or economically, to let these trends continue but issues with the new National Planning Framework 4 unfortunately point to such an outcome.
