Our esteemed leader, Dr. Sharma, was among the select few at the @WhiteHouse Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities event where organizations committed to ending hunger, reducing diet-related diseases, and bridging disparities by 2030 were recognized. 👏👏
News of the dedication of Shreela Sharma, PhD, RD, and @UTHealthSPH to ensure that all people have access to nutritious food has been heard all the way to the @WhiteHouse. Sharma, in collaboration with local and national partners, has risen to the White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities by co-leading three bold commitments. In recognition, she was one of just a few invited guests for today’s White House event featuring @SecondGentleman Douglas Emhoff, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra.
