Having done my PhD in the Kieffer lab watching these cell therapies develop, it is genuinely inspiring to read about patients benefiting from hPSC-based cell therapies for #T1D. Congrats to the authors, teams, and patients who made this happen.

I greatly enjoyed learning about exocrine and how it’s linked to diabetes from @tlmastracci earlier this year. I look forward to reading this latest work from @MastracciLab on exocrine development.

@Mastraccilab publication ALERT! Excited to share our new study in @FASEBorg. We have discovered that mRNA translation, regulated by a unique enzyme deoxyhypusine synthase (DHPS), is essential for #exocrine pancreas development.

Well that was fun! A great group of trainees and learning all about the exocrine pancreas from @tlmastracci was the icing on the cake. Grateful to be part of @CIRTNetwork and for the chance to share my love of islet macrophages.
So enjoyed meeting this awesome group of @CIRTNetwork trainees & chatting all things exocrine. And bravo to @HDenroche on making the complicated topic of islet inflammation so very understandable! #diabetes research in 🇨🇦 will continue to be strong with this group leading the way
