Former Australian M1A1 AIM Abrams tanks in Ukrainian service with different levels of additional anti-drone protection.
Photos 1–2 show an Abrams of the 425th Assault Regiment “Skelya” with an additional anti-drone armor package.
Photos 3–4 show another former Australian M1A1 AIM Abrams operated by tank crews of the 225th Assault Regiment, fitted with a much heavier anti-drone protection package, including a large frame structure and “hedgehog” elements.

‼️‼️🇺🇦 BIG | Ukrainian forces are pushing back across several sectors at once, recording fresh advances in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions as Russian troops struggle to convert months of pressure into decisive operational gains.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian troops have recently improved their positions in northern Kharkiv Oblast while continuing counterattacks around Borova. In Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian forces have advanced on the Sloviansk axis, including territory around the approaches northwest of Lyman, while further south Ukrainian units have also gained ground in the Novopavlivka and Oleksandrivka directions, including areas west of the Russian penetration toward Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
These advances do not yet amount to a large-scale Ukrainian breakthrough, but their geographic spread matters. Ukraine is forcing Russia to defend and reinforce several widely separated sectors while Moscow is still trying to sustain offensive pressure toward the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk belt and deeper into the Dnipropetrovsk direction. If Kyiv can keep generating localized counterattacks while degrading Russian logistics and assault formations, it can increasingly disrupt Moscow’s timetable and deny Russia the operational momentum the Kremlin needs before the end of 2026.
