"Lokedi’s reward for switching it up (aside from what was surely a generous appearance fee and prize money) is that she’s now inarguably among the five best women marathoners of the current era.
Stepping back, it’s a pretty wild career trajectory for the 2018 NCAA champion at Kansas who spent the first 3-4 years of her pro career hammering away at the track and short roads with no real breakthrough."

Guys, I don’t do the back and forth on this app, but lemme just make one thing clear. I’ve ALWAYS given flowers and respect to the women who’ve came before me, especially Shelly, and to my competitors that I race currently. I’ve never thought of myself to be better than anyone else, I’ve only ever strived to be the best that I can be. Thank you guys for tuning into Nightcap, but I hope y’all understand what I was trying to say. Everything that has happened thus far in my career has been in hopes of wanting to be become one of the greatest! The work and the results of what I have done over the past few years has put me in a conversation that I am blessed to be a part of.
See y’all good folks in 2027 🫡‼️

With Ciarán Ó Lionáird, it was just never boring.
Up and down, hot and cold, good and bad, triumph and disaster – all that darkness and light met head-on in a life that burnt out before it ever had a chance to fade away.

Gone far too soon, but he packed a hell of a lot into his 38 years.
Rest in peace, Ciarán Ó Lionáird

Vincent Mauri debuts in the marathon and runs his recovery days at 5:40 mile pace.
John Korir is a repeat Boston Marathon Champ and has some recovery days 9:00 mile pace.
The takeaway is that both can be successful and ignore those that try to push one way or another.

I am a big fan of BYU’s phenomenal freshman Jane Hedengren who set a collegiate 5000 Outdoor record of 14:50.50 this week at Bryan Clay.
Sharon Lokedi ran 14:48 from 35k-40k at the Boston Marathon yesterday.
Let that sink in.

After Lloyd said no to UNC, IMO I think there’s a guy out there without a job who’s a no brainer for UNC with his resume
Guy with HC experience
Has been to a final 4 and title game
Part of the UNC family
Got to take a look at Hubert Davis

My hot take that’s not really a hot take:
Jon Scheyer has underachieved more at Duke than Hubert Davis did at North Carolina.

When an athlete tells you what THEY need to do better to reach their potential it is exciting for a coach.
When an athlete tells you what others need to do better it is discouraging.

Dearest Mother,
The Carolina Regiment has scored 18 victories and 0 defeats on the Hill. The Orange men from the inferior Carolina were no match for Cpt. Luka’s outside artillery. A job well done to Cpt. Seth who successfully defended home soil for a final time.
Yours,

The Olympic 1500m silver and world bronze medallist runs 5:26.68 and just misses out on Genzebe Dibaba's world record of 5:23.75 🇦🇺
Hull is already the world outdoor 2000m record-holder with 5:19.70 ⚡️
