Bought an OLED laptop. Getting obsessed with font rendering. I will send it back because I can't handle it. Support for such font fuckery is not existent. I had Claude build a demo based on my thoughts about subpixel rendering and all I can say: Fuck you, @Microsoft

Specifically: it's an S-Stripe subpixel layout. It suffers hard on text fringing and most horribly, Microsoft does not support anything but 3 vertical stripes. It's fucking ass.

And no, disabling cleartype is not enough. On white text, the top edge is purple and the bottom edge green/cyan. It needs to be adjusted for and Microsoft didn't bother to do anything about it for the last 10 years.

My Rem while I am getting hammered in lane
Need one of these for my yard

complete dumb-fuckery of wrong equivalence.
Played golf with a guy today, got talking about EVs. He has one, said he'd like a Tesla but couldn't get one because Elon is a Nazi. He has a Volkswagen.

I thought this was wishful thinking, but no, it does actually appear as if pro-Russian sentiment disappeared overnight. haha
I hear things about the russian bot traffic being down because of the attacks on Yandex? Does that mean I can say that russia shot down MH17 without getting dozens of russian bots in my mentions?

It actually matters very little for us. It is a smooth curve that is indistinguishably different to humans. The approximation I am working on is essentially a long polynomial with the coefficients precalculated, so it is smooth too.

Do note: Having a numerical solution is still a good thing. It would be extremely close to the true value and much better than what the game typically does. Every exp, every sin and cos, is computed numerically too.

This is some not so easy reading, I am afraid. It appears there exists a neat approximation method that is accurate to the degree it puts float precision to shame, so we will be using that. I need to learn more such methods.

doing the sane thing and using this as an excuse to study numerical approximation

Son 馃 It appears a smooth solution might only exist in R, not in R虏. Claude straight up lied to me about having implemented my solution as is and completely ignored the fact that the solution I gave it did not consider vectors.
Note the little jerk in the first vid after each shot that seems to go into a fucked up direction. Also note the extra jerk on the first shot (hope thats visible in the vid). The analytical solution suffers of no such bullshit.

Clanker was so kind to graph out the first shot vertical offset with and without view punch. The reason it jumps up again ingame is that the recoil offset doesn't kick in until 1/128th after the shot but view punch kicks in immediately.

Just for clarity: The result itself is not clanked. Opus 5.5 built the recoil demo and the graphs. I'll talk more about the solution etc. soon.

I had a fellow student solve the differential equation that I got to, with the advanced technique of "guessing". Then I was also presented with a second method by someone else. I am home
currently trying to understand recoil code馃 Clanker decomped the logic. Its genuine horror to me. Bro they need an autistic mathematician on the team

its kinda cool, its pretty much like 64 to 128 all over again. I'll have the clanka adjust the impulse values to make it match 128 tick

Seeing people misunderstand the "Mathematicians didn't ask for the work to be done" quote is just saddening. Yeah lovely having 700 solutions to problems dumped on your field that reek of slop so much that it will take years to verify, let alone build in any capacity on it.
