Gwenton Dennis Sloley I AM JUDAH Film Project
Bashart Malik
Host: Gwenton Dennis Sloley
Special Guest: Dr Lawrence Hoo
Poetry by Belinda Everiste
In 2017, police mistook Ras Judah a well-known community figure in Bristol for a crime suspect (and not for the first time) and as a result he was brutally tasered in the face whilst out walking his dog changing his life forever.
Prior to that Judah had endured years of police harassment with constant misidentification of being another supposedly wanted criminal who looked like him; all with denials of racism. In this last event the officer who discharged the taser, was found not guilty at her criminal trial and in September 2018 was also cleared of misconduct.
This is Ras Judah's jaw-dropping story that will shake you to the core.
Featuring: Ras Judah Adunbi, Cleo Lake, Lawrence Hoo, Dr Clare Torrible, Peter Courtier, Duane McGuire.
Director: Bashart Malik
