I wanted to believe it wasn't so, but bringing back executions as a public spectacle makes it impossible to ignore. We are simply no longer a civilized society, and we're becoming less civilized over time. I genuinely worry about how depraved society will be 10 years from now

Oh god, no!
Allan Lichtman (Keys to the White House) unveils his prediction for the US Senate this year 🟦Democrats: 52 🟥Republicans: 44 Toss-up: 4

Updated Senate prediction. I changed my mind about Ohio, we'll see if this is just hopium. Fwiw I use the Likely rating to mean "this race is obviously going this way, but sure, I'll humor the possibility I'm wrong". So don't read too much into them. Polling still hella weird.

Minnesota in particular has been a weird one. Like, I don't buy the idea of Tafoya winning, but I increasingly cannot be sure. I think overall, though, people are more pissed than I had previously believed, not to mention Dems have a huge candidate advantage in most places.

Since my last prediction I had mentally flipped Ohio from R to D and Maine from D to R. Then the debate between Jackson and Collins happened last night and Maine is blue again.

I feel like the answer to this question is very obviously yes. As long as he actually stopped, that is. The problem is that it was so integral to his work that it's unlikely he could do that and still make stuff that's any good, sort of like that Miucin guy or w/e his name was

THE FUCKING 25 YEARS AGO GUY IS FROM PITTSBURGH???
[Fourth-Wall Break] Back on September 11, I said that if X monetized me, I would donate the money to Tunnels to Towers, a foundation helping surviving first responders of the attacks. X did not monetize me for September 11, and my revenue sharing was reinstated a couple days later. Nevertheless, I donated my paid partnership revenue, as well as a sizeable portion of the surrounding creator revenue sharing amount, amounting to several hundred dollars. I encourage you to donate to Tunnels to Towers or other September 11 survivors’ organizations. Doing the coverage all September made me realize the unimaginable scale of the events’ horror for the first time, and the effects with which many are still living, notably cancers and disabilities. Overall it has been an honor to try and do right by this tragedy, and I hope you will all stick around as I cover the rest of 2001, then 2002, 2003, and onward.

Hank Green they could never make me hate you
I still can't believe Dems won Georgia by 24 points in 2025. I know it was a turnout thing, but still Jesus Christ.

But seriously I need to stop making political predictions because things that could change the race keep happening right after

Honestly. I nothing him
#AlaskaSenate NYT: “Fuck that retard,” Ms. Peltola wrote this year in the text message, after a commercial fisheries executive posted a selfie with her that caused a political headache because she is opposed to large-scale commercial trawling. “Honestly. I nothing him.”

I figured this out: Dems are saying he will do various objectively terrible things. But he can't deny that he'll do those things, not only because he will, but because his base likes them! So he has to come up with imaginary bad things Dems say he'll do and defend against those.
I had a few things to tell you. Legal had a few things to BLEEP! Watch:

I usually do one of these don't I. Senate Prediction below. Polling is so many flavors of fucked up at the moment that I really don't feel that confident in any of this. Like if polling were to be believed, Kansas will be like 4 points redder than Maine. I just don't know.

Ohio is one where I'm going against the grain in favor of Republicans. For some reason that state seems to have crystalized its partisanship more than others. Would love to be wrong though. Dems really need 52 for a true majority, thanks to our guy Fetterman. Uff.

With polling this fucked up and House predictions already being a huge pain at the best of times, I'm just gonna not bother with that. Might fuck around and do a Governor one though idk
