Overall, the results highlight the importance of language in math learning, and suggest that decomposed labels and common-unit labels may be beneficial for teaching different aspects of decimal magnitude knowledge.

We suggest that engaging in fiber arts might be an effective means of improving spatial skills. This is notable because fiber arts are stereotypically feminine, in contrast to the male-gender-typing of many spatial activities like block and Lego construction. (3/4)
