PNY is getting called out after allegedly denying an RTX 5090 warranty claim because its power connector melted.
The owner says he used the native 12V-2x6 cable from his ASRock 1600W ATX 3.1 PSU, with the GPU at stock settings and a reduced power limit. He says the card even failed while idle.
PNY said using a non-PNY PSU cable voids the warranty, the owner says that requirement isn’t mentioned in PNY’s actual warranty or installation guide.
He asked PNY twice to show him the specific warranty clause but senior technician said the decision was final and closed the
