On his birthday, we remember the great DeForest Kelley, who played Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy on #StarTrekTOS, TAS, #StarTrekTNG, and in 6 films. Early in life, he had ambitions to be a doctor, but became an actor instead, appearing in many Westerns—often as a villain.

holy shit, wait a minute, Jim died without his captain's uniform on (symbolically) because it represents at that point in the story, he really felt like he didn't deserve to be captain and was willing to give up his life to the crew to try and fix his mistakes 😭

We wish a very happy birthday to Garrett Wang, who played Ensign Harry Kim on #StarTrekVoyager—and a whole lot of Harry Kims (one with two pips!) on #StarTrekLowerDecks. He's also cohost of the Delta Flyers podcast, which is now covering episodes of #StarTrekDS9.
