Did @itvpeston ever cover any of the multiple meetings between Farage’s funders & the Russian embassy back in 2018? I can’t recall but maybe I’m mistaken. Was Farage ever asked why he voted in the pro-Kremlin bloc in the EU parliament? Or why Arron Banks thought Crimea is to Russia what the Isle of Wight is to Britain? Or why LeaveEU denied Russian involvement in Skripal?

What does "legitimate" even mean here? The Electoral Commission found massive breaches of electoral laws. It was the biggest case of electoral fraud in at least a century. And that's *before* considering question of Russian interference.

So this is obviously the official pushback to the line on Russian interference & it’s the same nonsense that Boris Johnson spouted: ‘no successful interference’ is utterly meaningless. There’s never been any investigation & no definition of what ‘success’ means.
