I took seven 35mm film cameras to the auctioneers today. The one I'd had since a kid. The one I spent a fortune to buy. Even the two I bought when film cameras went cheap and I could finally buy the ones I'd always wanted. Goodbye film, I guess.

Kate Middleton & William closed an environmental centre for school children and took away 150 acres park from the public so that they can have their 4th FOREVER home. Now Kate's Expert advice in early childhood is telling parents to... wait for it —take their children outside.

Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an airfield in the Voronezh region. Four Su-34 aircraft were destroyed and two more Su-34s were hit. The Russians used them to terrorize our people. These very warplanes were ready to launch new attacks on Ukraine and were loaded with aerial bombs. Our Long Neptune missile was used to strike the target. I thank the warriors of the Ukrainian Navy for their precision! Our long-range sanctions also reached a site in the Oryol region used to store and launch attack drones. A target was also hit in the Black Sea. These are our justified responses to all of Russia’s terror against Ukraine. Russia is dragging out the war, so our long-range operations will continue.

Dozens of American allies are suddenly wondering whether ordering another 1,000 F-35s is quite such a brilliant idea while Trump is busy removing US military support from Europe. Saab, Dassault and Eurofighter might want to clear their inboxes.

I'm the only Jewish leader of a political party. I'm a victim of Antisemitism every day and I've made it clear Jewish people are welcome in my party. You're a Prime Minister who arms a genocide and locks pensioners up for opposing it.
Andy Burnham rules out any partnership between Labour and the Green Party due to their controversial motion declaring "Zionism is racism". 🔗 trib.al/c05KDDg

Ukraine spent 5 years developing their defense from Russia around Starlink, and last night, Musk cut it off to help Putin. This morning, the halls of power in Europe need to understand that Musk, Trump and Putin aim for total dissolution of democracy, and the primary target is Europe.

I was walking to the building where I work in Oxford when I passed three young girls speaking Farsi and I couldn’t help but run back and ask if they were from Afghanistan. They said yes. It had been a few months since their arrival as refugees waiting in Pakistan, now studying at a local school in Oxford. I was swelling with emotion. These girls just escaped 5 years of gender persecution under the Taliban. Erasure of their schools. And are now in Oxford, studying freely. Thank you to the U.K government for giving them a second chance. As a former refugee myself, we all just need one chance, as Canada gave to my mother and I. Two sets of Afghan women, escaping two Taliban regimes, meeting in Oxford. All in the hopes of finding freedom through education.

So, wait- all this time, far-right Conservatism was just 3 Russian data centers in a trenchcoat?

Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from. If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems." The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't. There are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content. There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place. It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room. That needs to change. And fast.

If confirmed, this is telling: Russian data centres get hit, and online activity around AfD suddenly plummets. 📉 So much talk about German patriotism… then the connection from Russia goes down. 🤔🇷🇺

Hello, @PeteHegseth. I’m a former Army officer in 1st Cav who was stationed at Fort Hood. Thirteen murdered Americans deserve better than having their memory used to promote state-sponsored blood sport. Livestreaming the shooter’s execution is barbaric Taliban shit. @RepMikeRogersAL you chair the House Armed Services Committee. Find your spine.

As an objective observer, it’s clear that Zack has transformed the Greens from a party that sheepishly sits on the sidelines offering practically nothing, to one that ignites national debates and influences government. The Greens would be mad to change leader, stark raving mad.

Zack Polanski would doubtless have loved to win the Holborn by-election. He managed to triple the Greens' share of the vote, in a difficult seat for the party and in the midst of Labour's short Burnham honeymoon. Yet the media reaction is as one: shouldn't Polanski resign? The question isn't a question at all. It's a prompt your brain is supposed to interpret as proof he's failed, he's damaging the party, he needs to be replaced. It's intended to bypass the reality that Polanski has turned the party's fortunes around in terms of vote share and MPs, that the Greens are now a major insurgent force in UK politics, that he helped drive Starmer out of office and is driving Burnham further left than either Burnham or the Blairite Labour bureaucracy are inclined to go to win back the left. The sanctions against Israel's illegal settlements happened because of the Polanski-led Greens, not because Labour suddenly saw the light – after three years of conspiring in a genocide. The Green surge under Polanski is also driving the break-up of the cosy old two-party closed shop that has overseen the wrecking of Britain's industrial base and the economy's dependency on a financial sector whose only policy is ever-deepening austerity for you and me. Those are the reasons the political and media class want Polanski gone. And they will keep trying to short-circuit your brain into thinking that that would be good for the country rather than just for them.
