We’ll be at Reading Rep selling picture books on Saturday 18th April from 10-12am (coincides with Teddy Bears Story Times). Reasonably priced (50p & £2) & pay by card. Site on Kings Road with masses of free parking.

We had a great meeting @FourbearsBooks on Sunday, which as always began with the children’s own recommendations. These included The Tempest retold by Georgia Ellinas & Jane Ray, Kid Normal by Greg James & Chris Smith and Matilda by Roald Dahl & Quentin Blake. #readingforpleasure
We’ll soon be announcing the shortlist for The FCBG Children’s Book Award. 5-8s are invited to join us on Sunday 1st March 10-11 @FourbearsBooks to find out how you can get involved in voting. All children must be accompanied & places booked in advance.
Some of the book group’s members & friends attended a great workshop about ancient Egypt at the Ure Museum, University of Reading @uremuseum We had great fun handling objects, dressing up, drawing favourite artefacts & disembowling mummies!
