Wonder how far this will get?

NI Ag Minister Edwin Poots has said he will press for farming to be exempt from the country's planned net zero by 2050 target, with @UFUpresident Victor Chestnutt warning it'll lead to a 50% reduction in livestock numbers & put 113,000 jobs at risk fginsight.com/news/farming-s…

So great to see what can be done with native breed wool and a bit of imagination.

Above being a part of the food chain, this is another role that #NativeBreeds can play their part in. Adapted to thrive & flourish on marginal land in the UK’s landscapes & climate, they bring huge benefits to environmental land management & promoting biodiversity. #GoNative

The role of heavy grazers in shaping a dynamic mosaic of vegetation types is increasingly recognised. This is the latest grass-chomping, seed-sowing, nutrient-cycling addition to the #Northwoods Rewilding Network. Her name is Belinda (if you like that kind of thing). #bigpicture

This is very concerning if the Prime Minister is missing the point that lack of abattoirs and workers may lead to a shortage in British meat...

This is disgraceful. I don’t know what else to say. I’m genuinely stunned.

A cracking opportunity for someone who has suitable cattle for the job. #GoNative #NativeBreeds

Out on the Ben Lawers hills yesterday. Looking at options for reintroducing cattle grazing to improve biodiversity. Summer hill cattle grazing was central to farming here in previous centuries.

A fantastic project being carried by the breed society. One important way of helping to keep the breed going. If you have an #EriskayPony or know someone who does, then get in touch with the society to get your sample kit. #GoNative #NativeBreeds
