This week we will be taking part in #GladtoCare awareness week to recognise the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our wonderful staff and all staff in the care industry who absolutely deserve to be recognised! We will be updating you with our antics throughout the week!

!!Announcement!! Olea Care Group is expanding! We are excited to announce that we will soon be welcoming a new generation into our family!! After two years, planning permission has been granted and work is due to begin on our very own 'Fernbees day nursery'.

Fernlea: we are trying hard to make the most of this weather because it will be gone before we know. A trip to Buxton Road Cafe for coffee and a cake,as they do the most gorgeous food, was a big yes for our residents. #sunnydays

We celebrated nutrition and hydration week last week a by having a theme for each day. Milkshake Monday, Taster Tuesday, Wellbeing Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday and Fruity Friday. Nutrition and Hydration is so important for everyone so we did what we do best.

Exciting news!!! Over the weekend, residents at all our services were given the COVID-19 vaccination! This is another big step forward in our battle against this pandemic! #vaccination #CovidVaccine

Fernlea: T'was the week before Christmas and all through Fernlea...... was so much fun and festivity!!! We all got dressed up today so that our lovely residents could pop outside for a rare 10 minutes and sing some lovely Christmas songs. 🎅🎄#christmas #ChristmasCarol

Fernlea: today we have been in full Christmas swing!! It has been festive breakfast day and this afternoon was our Christmas Market. We have had carols. Hot chocolate with baileys, mulled wine, mince pies and pictures with santa straight after a look on our stall 🎄 #Christmas

We have been spending our time in true James Bond style making and drinking cocktails (Vesper martinis) and snacking in style with a cheese and wine afternoon. We have been practicing our aim with shooting practice using our nerf guns which was brilliant #shakennotstirred

Fernlea: Ladies and Gents get ready with your tuxedos, evening dresses and martinis 'shaken not stirred'. This week, our wonderful Cut Centre will feature a different Bond film every day. And it wouldn't be a Bond week without cocktails and casinos! 🎬 🍸 #bondjamesbond

This year has been a challenge for us all, and the restrictions in place will mean a very different Remembrance Day. Therefore, this year, the residents at Olea Care Group have donated over £1000 to the British Legion. #LestWeForget

Yesterday Fernlea turned 6!! We have had games, karaoke, fancy dress, party food and delicious birthday cake, we couldnt allow our friends and families to miss out on the fun so we had them join us virtually! 🎁🎉🎉🎈🎈 #alwaysfun #partytime #birthday
