NEW STUDY: Rhode Island is not inclusive for people with disabilities. 📉
In a study of 182 cities, Providence ranked 170th in livability for people with disabilities.
The study looked at the economy, quality of life, and healthcare.
Simply put, we are not inclusive enough for the 1 in 4 Rhode Islanders with a disability.
Our State has made progress before and we must do it again. 💪
Let’s turn this challenge into an opportunity for progress.
As we prepare for the 2024 legislative session, we are focused on making RI a more accessible place for everyone.
We hope you join us. More to come.

Disability employment just reached an all-time high! 💪
Is 21% where it should be? Of course not. However, we are seeing signs of progress.
More employers are seeing the power of an inclusive workforce.
Everyone can make a great employee. Thank you to the employers driving this forward.
We will continue to make progress together. 💚 – at West Warwick, RI

Every day hundreds of Rhode Islanders get up and make the choice to put others first.
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help people with disabilities live their dreams. 💪
Within our network, more than 3,600 people support over 12,000 adults and children with disabilities. 💚
DSPs deserve to be thanked and compensated because they change the lives of thousands of Rhode Islanders.
