📌 Overtime Elite @Gatorade Pro Day
💡 Groce’s game shined in live action play. Mid-range PUJs, movement + C&S 3s, he shot it well from all areas of the floor. Savvy and unselfish, he drove pressed defenders, creating good looks for teammates. An explosive vertical athlete, he finished with the 3rd highest max vert (38.5”). Great showing here from the Sam Houston St. commit.

Aiden Groce Is Headed to Sam Houston State
Sam Houston State has landed a commitment from 6’2” 2027 point guard Aiden Groce of Southeastern Prep Academy (FL).
Groce has shown that he doesn’t need to play one way to be effective. He can take on more of the scoring when needed, make plays for others or take on a bigger defensive responsibility against opposing guards.
With the ball, Groce can get downhill and finish around the rim while also knocking down shots from the perimeter. He plays with a good feel and is comfortable making the extra pass when the defense commits.
Groce has spent plenty of time playing alongside other high-level players with Southeastern Prep and AB Elite. He has shown that he can find ways to contribute without needing everything to run through him.
Groce has shown he can adjust to what the game calls for, which should give Sam Houston State plenty of options with him at point guard.

@BearkatsMBB
2027 6’2 point guard Aiden Groce was a steady presence for AB Elite at the Made Hoops Rivalry Showcase against Power 5, showing his value across the board. He played effectively alongside the other guards, making smart reads and creating opportunities for teammates while also knocking down shots when needed, displaying a feel for pace and spacing within the offense. Groce showed his ability to get to the basket and finish through contact, navigating defenders and putting pressure on the rim, adding another layer to his offensive game, and he complemented it with good on-ball defense, staying engaged, moving his feet well, and making opposing guards work for everything. Overall, he was a valuable piece for AB Elite, providing stability and impact on both ends and helping set the tone for the team throughout the showcase.
