Helen Haines is a progressive MP who has almost always voted against measures that punish the poor, marginalised & working classes
This appears to be a brutal & lethally intended attack, & may still turn out that way. What on earth drives a person to be so hateful...

Treasure those who DO have morals and courage in the face of savage, senseless violence
On 16 March 1968, an American helicopter pilot called Hugh Thompson flew over the Vietnamese village of My Lai and discovered something that should be compulsory reading for every insecure macho who confuses wearing a uniform with having morals or being a man.
American soldiers were massacring Vietnamese civilians. When asked later 'Including babies?', they said, on camera: 'Including babies.'
Women, children, elderly people, babies in their mothers' arms. Unarmed human beings being slaughtered by the very men who were supposedly there to defend their freedom.
Around 500 Vietnamese would be dead before it was over.
Thompson was horrified.
He landed his helicopter and confronted the American soldiers.
Then he saw more Vietnamese civilians in immediate danger.
And he did something extraordinary.
He landed his little helicopter between the villagers and the advancing American troops and instructed his two crewmen, Lawrence Colburn and Glenn Andreotta, to OPEN FIRE ON THEIR FELLOW AMERICANS if they tried to murder the civilians.
Yes, an American soldier was prepared to shoot American soldiers to protect Vietnamese children from being murdered. And that makes HIM the greatest patriot to me.
This wasn't some comfortable declaration of principles from a safe distance.
He was right there, surrounded by heavily armed men who had already demonstrated that they were perfectly willing to kill defenceless people.
Together, the three men helped evacuate villagers to safety.
They also rescued a wounded child from a ditch filled with corpses.
Thompson reported what was happening to his superiors, helping bring about an order to stop the killing.
And how did the world reward this astonishing display of humanity?
Thompson was denounced by some of his fellow Americans. He received hate mail and death threats.
The US Army finally awarded him and his crew the Soldier's Medal in 1998.
THIRTY YEARS LATER.
By then Andreotta had been dead for almost thirty years, killed in Vietnam only weeks after the massacre.
What I find so profoundly moving about this story is that Thompson didn't need a committee, an opinion poll, a government spokesman, a superior officer or a panel of experts to tell him that massacring children was wrong.
He saw what was happening.
He understood.
And he acted.
There were plenty of American flags and American uniforms at My Lai that morning.
The flags didn't prevent the massacre.
The uniforms didn't prevent the massacre.
The chain of command didn't prevent the massacre.
Three men who refused to surrender their conscience to the collective did something to stop it.

I received a goodbye message from a disabled woman this morning.
She told me โshe couldnโt take any moreโ. She had no hope left. Having someone like us in Parliament, someone who fought tirelessly for us, had been one of the things keeping her alive.
I searched her Facebook wall, found her CoS, who called her and contacted police. An ambulance was sent.
Her Facebook page has since entirely disappeared. I donโt have her number. This is the third incident like this in 2026.
I donโt know whether sheโs alive. I donโt know whether sheโs going to spend six months in hospital, like the last disabled woman who reached this point.
I donโt know what happens next.
But I know what happened this week.
A disabled man who sent Facebook messages to two women a decade ago, women who did not even make any kind of formal complaint to the Greens, a matter investigated by the WA Greens at the time, has been dragged through the political sewer and publicly compared to Bruce Lehrmann on Insiders.
A man found by a Federal Court judge, on the balance of probabilities, to have raped a woman.
Jordon has also been dealing with relentless stalking, has an AVO in place (as do others, against the same woman), and serious related matters are before police.
Apparently, none of that warrants the slightest consideration from the self-appointed guardians of decency.
And then thereโs the particularly filthy business of โfeels on wheelsโ.
An insult coined by Labor in 2022 because Jordon cried in Parliament over dead disabled children, now being twisted into something sexual.
What sort of miserable, grubby little bastard takes a manโs grief over dead children and repackages it as a sexual smear?
And what sort of journalist repeats it without establishing where it came from?
There is a special place in the political gutter for people who manufacture moral outrage out of somebody elseโs suffering, then congratulate themselves on their integrity.
These grubs couldnโt recognise due process if it walked into Parliament wearing a fucking name badge.
Theyโve confused cruelty with courage, public humiliation with justice, and political opportunism with principle.
Their compassion is a theatrical production with a press release and a remarkably convenient list of people who donโt qualify for it.
And while this circus was consuming every available inch of political oxygen, Parliament was getting on with the business of dismantling disabled peopleโs lives.
The very changes Jordon had been fighting. The ones youโre not talking about while youโre talking about this.
Cuts to essential supports. Data matching and surveillance. People being shut inside their homes and shut out of life. Disabled and aged Australians facing terrible harm at the hands of a government that treats us as disposable commodities.
Fuck that.
You can find an unreported complaint of an inappropriate Facebook message from ten years ago, but apparently you canโt find your conscience when disabled people are begging you not to destroy their lives.
What a thoroughly rotten collection of political cowards.
You have mistaken the absence of consequences for the possession of principles.
You know every word. Trauma-informed. Safeguarding. Human rights. Procedural fairness.
You can pronounce them all beautifully into a microphone.
You just donโt give a fuck about practising any of them when doing so might cost you a headline, a preselection - yeah, looking at you, WA Greens - a dead cat on the table or a convenient political scalp.
And spare me the lectures about protecting women.
Where was this righteous fury when disabled women testified about being raped, beaten and abused in institutions?
Where is it now, when disabled women and carers are trapped in violent homes because they cannot get the support they need to leave?
Where is it when women are telling you that the loss of their disability supports will put their lives in danger?

My male coworker complained that my bra straps were showing, he called it โdistractingโ and said the male equivalent would be a woman seeing a man walking around with his penis out. I just looked at him and asked if he genuinely understood what a bra is. A bra is underwear. Genitals are not. The actual equivalent would be a guy wearing his pants low enough that his boxers are showingโฆ.which plenty of men do without anyone acting like itโs obscene. The fact that some men canโt tell the difference between underwear and genitalia says everything. And somehow, theyโre still trusted to legislate womenโs reproductive rights.

I remember the first time I ever heard that " multiply Israeli deaths up in proportion to the size of the USA "
I thought it was deranged then and I think it's deranged now
an integral part of the insane level of gaslighting we've all been subjected to these last three years
Netanyahu: "1,200 Israelis dying on October 7th is the equivalent of 40,000 Americans dying in one day."
By the same logic, Israel has killed over 3.7% Palestinian population - which is the equivalent of 12.5 million Americans
By his own logic, he's committed a Holocaust-scale massacre multiple times over.

This is so unbelievably fucked up.
This is the attitude behind every racist shitbag on this platform.
Part of a little girlโs skull was found near Mackay in Qld.
The skull was taken to the local pub.
The locals used it as a communal ashtray.
Why? Because they thought it was an Indigenous girlโs skill.
They felt bad only when it was revealed to be from a white girlโs murder.
Forget the spin, forget how innocuous they pretend to be, THIS is who they really are.

Please watch and share this important video on how Israeli settlers and their own IDF backed Militia groups are invading Palestinian lands. How would you feel if this happened here in Australia?
On Friday, masked Israeli settlers attacked a Washington Post photographer and Palestinian villagers harvesting olives in the West Bank. Videos of the disturbing incident and the American photojournalist screaming as she flees are now circulating on social media.
Last week, 60 Minutes aired a report on the increasingly violent confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli settlers in the West Bank, in which Lesley Stahl witnessed a confrontation firsthand.
Israel has a legal obligation under the rules of occupation to protect civilians on the lands they occupy.
Plainly, Israel is not complying with that obligation under international law.
Any stern words for that in your 'rules based order' users manual, @SenatorWong?
