Each facility is different. I'm a kidney transplant patient and my brother, who donated, is still very much alive and healthy. My father donated to my mother and is all alive. Donating an organ is giving the gift of life. My young children have a mother to raise them because of it. My mother got to live 16 years longer with hers. Thank you for all who choose to selflessly give life to others. I've never met a person who regretted organ donation. I know thousands who have donated.
