@GreyFactionTST y’all see this?
The World Council for Health promoted satanic ritual abuse conspiracy theories this week, with speakers who claim that children are sacrificed in tunnels under the Vatican, and that George Bush Sr said he was an alien .. but faked it using holograms. 🧵

"...the truth was that a form of modern witch-hunt was underway...The families were [falsely] accused of crimes so depraved they would have seemed far-fetched even in the most stomach-churning horror film." examinerlive.co.uk/news/uk-w…

The term “ritual abuse,” particularly when linked with Satanism, carries a lot of historical baggage. In the 1980s, the U.S. began experiencing a moral panic around what was termed “Satanic Ritual Abuse” (SRA), which later turned out to be a series of unfounded allegations.
These are recent developments and we will be addressing them. We will explain why these horrific crimes do not vindicate the SRA conspiracy theories.

I discussed the book "The Witch-Hunt Narrative" by Ross E. Cheit with @CarriePoppyYES & @poboyesquireLLC . The book claims to dispel the "myth" that there was a Satanic Panic. We analyzed the author's treatment of the McMartin trial & were unconvinced. luciengreaves.substack.com/p…

organized ritual abuse, particularly of the satanic variety, is obviously rare. and yes, some survivor narratives involving extreme violence like murder raise difficult epistemic questions. but the fact that these ppl refuse to accept that this ever happens should be a red flag.

The Hampstead case is a textbook example of false allegations of SRA produced by coercion, coaching, and actual child abuse. It's also a demonstration of how these allegations ruin lives with no benefit to society whatsoever. mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/hamp…

We oppose debunked conspiracy theories relating to Satanic ritual abuse because they are bad for patients (see: retractors like Patricia Burgus), bad for the falsely accused, and bad for us Satanists. SRA narratives have ruined lives, destroyed families, and upended communities.

"I was abused by Satanists who wore robes and held candles and chanted in Latin while they ate a baby and drank its blood." "I was abducted by little green aliens with big eyes who beamed me up to their flying saucer and probed me." These are roughly equivalent in several ways.

Both of these stereotypical survivor accounts: - Involve violence, abuse, and trauma - Are vehemently believed by the survivor - Are supported by no evidence other than the survivor's account - Can be induced via recovered memory therapy

But most importantly, these are both culturally transmitted narratives, drawing from movies, television, books, and the accounts of other survivors. If you're skeptical of alien abduction claims, you should also be skeptical of survivor narratives of Satanic ritual abuse.

The only thing keeping the pro-Satanic Panic position afloat is the ability to call all disbelievers pedophiles and pedophile apologists. It's all they have left, and reasonable people see it for exactly what it is. #SatanicPanic

The reason for not replying directly and using a screenshot instead is because this person rakes in ad revenue for promoting debunked Satanic ritual abuse conspiracy theories. We do not support grifters here.

I hadn’t read about this one. Apparently they abused those kids and threatened them into making false allegations. This definitely seems like a group of people with a baby-brained savior complex, who see the world in some cartoonish good/evil dichotomy. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamp…

Bennett Braun, a dangerous quack psychiatrist, Satanic Panic conspracist, & co-founder of the pseudoscientific @ISSTD is reported to have died yesterday, but his destructive legacy lives on in the witch-hunting lunacy of the organization he helped create. greyfaction.org/wiki/bennett…

Conspiracists in the UK subjected children to 'relentless emotional and psychological pressure as well as significant physical abuse' until they conformed to a Satanic Panic narrative... then they declared themselves childrens' advocates. mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/hamp…
