Am I a bad person if I get annoyed and want to correct someone for pronouncing “euro” like “giro”?

Anxiety is part of being alive, especially when you're doing things that are difficult, unfamiliar, or important to you. The goal isn't to get rid of anxiety altogether. It's to learn how to accept it, understand what's causing it, and approach the things that make you anxious as opportunities for adventure rather than something to avoid. As Kierkegaard put it, anxiety is “the dizziness of freedom.” Freedom comes with uncertainty, and that's a price worth paying for a life fully lived.

Given today’s release of Anthropic numbers, this post from September is more interesting.
What if Anthropic’s slowing down of the frontier and OpenAI statement that they aren’t doing IPO this year are actually a response to decelerating growth rates in Q3?

I don’t think Gillis haters understand how social media algos work. All the SNL reaction has his clips being viewed orders of magnitude more than normal weeks. You took the bait.

The US stock market has never been this fragmented: The 52-week correlation between the equal-weighted S&P 500 and the S&P 500 index is down to 0.67, its lowest level on record. This measures how closely the performance of the equal-weighted S&P 500 tracks the cap-weighted index, with a lower reading indicating a growing gap between the broader market and mega-cap stocks. The correlation has declined -0.25 points since August 2025. By comparison, before the 2020 pandemic, this figure remained between 0.95 and 0.99 for nearly 15 years. To put this into perspective, during the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble, this metric never declined below 0.85. The S&P 500 is more concentrated than ever.

Every leader says “if it makes sense, do it.” But if every one says it, there’s no differentiation. We say “if it doesn’t make sense, do it.” (Because our competitors won’t) -David Stevens

$OPEN --and other names tied to residential real estate--are trading like the housing market will not rebound. This reminds me of Expedia and other travel stocks in March 2020. I'll save you the research...Expedia is a 6 bagger since then.

$FIG may be one of the clearest examples of AI expanding a software category rather than destroying it. 48% growth, 136% net dollar retention, and >80% of $10K customers consuming AI credits weekly.

I'm liking the relative strength of $ASAN. Seeing more evidence of them becoming a system of record for human + AI work. 97% NRR overall, improving retention across cohorts, and new AI products moving to every paid tier suggest monetization may eventually shift from seats → outcomes/consumption.

Be Case Keenum. > Grow up in West Texas. Two-star recruit. One scholarship offer. > Take it. Rewrite the NCAA record book at Houston. > Marry your high school sweetheart, the girl you took out for snow cones before any of this started. > Go undrafted anyway. > Spend your rookie season on the practice squad. > Get cut. Get claimed. Get traded. Start over. > Get your chance in Minnesota when the starter gets hurt. > Throw the Minneapolis Miracle. > Help take the Vikings within one win of the Super Bowl. > Keep moving after that, too. > Eight franchises. Different jerseys. Different playbooks. Another chance to prove you belong. > Through all those moves, keep building a life with the girl. > The girl from the snow-cone date becomes the mother of your two children. > Spend years preparing for opportunities that rarely come. > Go 1,009 days without a start. > Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Stay ready. > Then, at 38, get the call. Chicago needs you. > Walk onto Monday Night Football. > Throw two touchdowns. Run for another. Beat the Eagles 27–7. > Do it with both your kids watching you play in person for the first time. > Finish the night on SportsCenter with your little girl beside you. All those years. All those moves. All those Sundays waiting for a chance. And when this one finally comes, you fucking crush it with your kids looking on. Imagine what that feels like. There are a lot of ways to teach your children to keep going. Letting them watch you do it has to be one of the best. Absolute legend! 🫡

This talk is so, so good Favorite idea—This photo shows what tech did to number of pictures taken. Now same progression happening to code. Then it’ll happen to…
It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! youtu.be/vDjW_dRyKXY?si=6Fsf…
