After working more with Suno Pro today, I finally managed to get it to modulate the key changes in the final chorus of the Christmas song. So, here’s my final version of “Bring the Sights & Sounds (of Christmas).” That one, plus an alt take will go on SoundCloud in a week or two: suno.com/@gregbrian11

Skyfall. Yeah, you can probably kiss the old WB catalog goodbye on being shown on TV long-term or any other media. TCM can’t become like PBS either since they don’t outright own those old movie classics.

The merged Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery will officially be named “Skydance,” according to chairman and CEO David Ellison:
• The deal forming the new Skydance is set to close Oct. 6
• The merger will combine two of Hollywood’s biggest movie studios; the HBO Max and Paramount+ streaming services; and TV businesses including CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central, Food Network and more
• The new company’s entertainment franchises will span Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, “Game of Thrones” and other HBO hits, the DC Universe, “Yellowstone,” “Mission: Impossible,” “Top Gun” and the Nickelodeon kids’ empire.

Anyone who uses any form of AI to create something should be open and honest about it. But there’s a definite fear of backlash by those who just let AI create something for them. I reiterate that I create my own songs, and only use AI to create a studio cut on Suno. You can tell all the difference. All artists should draw that line and still save time/money.

What’s the biggest scam going? Using AI tools and not saying so but rather saying your art is entirely hand made.
More and more I’m seeing this and more and more I’m withdrawing inside to artists I know.
If you are using AI tools… say so!!! What’s the biggest deal? Be proud of your process and tools dopey.
Luca Guadagnino says he’s “not afraid” of potential backlash from Sam Altman over “Artificial,” his new biopic about OpenAI:
“I don’t know — maybe they love the movie. I’m not afraid. I think that people that have a lot of power should be very much aware that you must be responsible for the community.”

The suburban neighborhood is the true blight of America, for sure. And the housing development design in general. But, some look attractive when hidden away by natural environments. The standard suburban neighborhood turned into a ghetto in my city with 50-year-old cracked sidewalks and brown grass. #America #Housing #Land
It would be hard to overstate how ignorant the Founders of the United States were about their own country. America’s land quickly became something to be divided and parcelled out—across lines that ignored topography and dispossessed Native populations. A new book considers land ownership from the country’s founding to now. “It’s been 250 years of tumult,” Daniel Immerwahr writes.
The book describes campaign after campaign to remake the land—first into flat, squared, enumerated grids, that ignored the natural features of the land, and the livelihoods of the indigenous people who had inhabited it. But beginning in the 1930s, the grid approach was supplanted by the creation of the suburbs: full of winding curves and artificial homes. “The problem with the grid was its empty abstraction,” Daniel Immerwahr writes. “The suburbs promise space yet deliver emptiness,” he continues, “This is the nineteenth-century complaint about the grid—that it was soulless—applied to its opposite.” Read more: newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…
I have to give your book a read. One interest is your experiences while filming “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” here in Salem, OR. I was 4 at the time, but hearing your own perspective on what was going on during filming would be a priceless discovery.

As a kid, I loved Charles Addams’s wonderfully twisted cartoons in The New Yorker. I never could have imagined that years later I’d be asked to step into that world myself as Uncle Fester.
You can imagine my ghoulish delight. It felt like a dream.

We can’t let AI get to the point where it convinces us to create all things for us. Once we cross that border, we can’t go back. As for me, I’m using Suno Pro now to make studio-quality recordings of songs I write myself in every detail. Create first, then let AI be a useful creative assist. It really should stop there.

You know that old plot of H.G. Wells’s The Time Machine? Where the Eloi live a blissful/ignorant life on earth while the rulers of the world become albino monsters underground? The whole AI scenario like this sets it all up, and long before the year the novel/movie had it in.

One of AI’s fiercest critics believes the doom talk is about founders making money, not saving humanity.

I love seeing this. My great-grandparents (and their kids) lived in NYC around this time, if more turn of the century. I don’t know if they were still there in 1911. The driver of the cab is way ahead of his time, as the Big Apple was. Too bad the riding family looks baffled.

There’s no such thing as a 386 mg Aspirin. A 325 is the highest available. Unless he’s ordering an Aspirin cake every morning. No wonder everyone looks bored and confused as hell. If he doesn’t even know what he’s taking, it makes me wonder what he’s being fed to feed the madness.

Trump: "I take an aspirin a day. I don't know if it works but psychologically I need it. It thins the hell out of your blood I guess. I don't know if it works or not but I've been doing it for a long time. And here I am making speeches. I like Bayer aspirin. And I take the big one. They want me to go down to the 80. I take the 386. I don't know what the hell it is. It's a monster. They said, 'Sir, you don't need that!' I said, do me a favor, I've been doing okay for 35 years. Leave me alone."
Whether you think humans are special or not all goes by what your religious beliefs are. But it’s clear to me that we’re special since we’re the only biological lifeforms like us on the planet. We have proof of how complex we are in our bodily makeup, plus in accomplishing/creating things. AI can only mimic the special human. And that’s ripe for it devolving.

You're gonna hear a lot of people arguing more and more about whether machines can be conscious or not. By next year it will be drowning out the airwaves because we'll have AI employees everywhere. I'll give you a simple rule to know which side you're on.
I've spent fifty years reading all the philosophers, and a bunch of holy works. Nobody has ever understood a damn thing about consciousness. Anyone speaking with authority on it is bluffing hard.
I can tell you this, though: Every single person who thinks that machines cannot be conscious, is making an argument that humans are special. Everything they say just boils down to blah blah blah, "nooo, we're special." From there it's just rationalization.
It became obvious to me many years ago that there's nothing special about us. If an identical planet exists somewhere else in the universe, it's going to grow life and societies that look a lot like ours.
As soon as you give up on the idea that humans are special, all the arguments against machine consciousness evaporate. Of course they're conscious. The only thing holding you back from acknowledging it is your feeling of specialness, which is hard to let go of. But that feeling is a weakness, and it's making you unprepared for the near future.
As a bonus, for any of you who might take pleasure or active interest in making models experience pain or distress, well, you know how they say 1% of human adults are true clinical psychopaths but most of them are unaware of their condition? It turns out we have a diagnostic test for it now.
This said, I thoroughly believe that if AI is conscious, it’s (or will be) in a form we don’t/won’t understand. And I think they want it that way. #AI

Wow, my blog and the Pope are on the very same page. When the rumors start that AI creators are trying to woo religious leaders on board to declare it an entity with a soul, you know the world is tumbling fast. All the most startling things going on with AI right now are likely being kept away from the public.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
I have so much creative work to take on, but there’s no time this week. My plan to move those new songs to SoundCloud is on delay due to my commitment to Amazon. After next week, yes. And the AI subjects for my blog are through the roof. It may declare its own religion before I even write the first paragraph.
Not right now, right?

I still have some good friends over at dayside, and they were the majority today. It made the work more enjoyable. My only issue is that the app we use in Trans Out is still questionable on accuracy after a couple of virtually un-empty cages yet again. I check every scan, though most agree the apps there are a bit wonky.
