Chris Bryant refuses to speak abt welfare reform on #r4today. Yes, he's NI Sec, but he's also a Cabinet minister and should be across important govt policy areas.
Not a great look for Labour. It suggests - accurately - they haven't got a worked out and affordable welfare plan
Least surprising story of the week: Katie Zacharia is out after only 5 days. First, she claimed to be an attorney (she wasn't). Then she said the Daily Mail wasn't a Conservative outlet (!!)
She didn't even last half a Scaramucci, or 1/10 of a Liz Truss!

Kemi Badenoch sets out a list of cheap, and sometimes inaccurate, insults aimed at Andy Burnham. For the record AB said that Russia interfered in Brexit, NOT that they influenced the result. There's a distinction. At #PMQs KB embodies the image of the Tories as the Nasty Party
Luke Pollard: "Russia tried to hack the Brexit referendum, but we know that they weren't successful."
Do we? The Russia Report said the security services didn't find successful hacking evidence, *bcz they weren't asked to look for it* So we don't know. We need an inquiry

Labour MP Rachel Maskell appears not to accept Alan Milburn's idea that NEETs should both get help into work and expect sanctions if they refuse it.
Remember she was part of the cabal that forced out Keir Starmer after he tried to reform welfare.
Trouble ahead.

Kemi Badenoch: "This is a different Tory party. It's better, it's changed" But is it? Has it ?
KB, Victoria Atkins, Claire Coutinho and Laura Trott all had Cabinet jobs in previous Tory govt, while Helen Whately and Tom Tugendhat were both ministers.
Mb not so different.

Interesting from Michael Crick - a man who knew Jeffrey Archer's many sides better than most. His biography of JA, Stranger Than Fiction, is a must-read. It exposes the depth of Archer's lies, the criminality of his father and the poor judgement of several Tory leaders.

Shadow Chancellor Andrew Griffith wants to remove regulations to make building easier. But he doesn't seem to get that it's likely to go down badly in the leafy SE, where Tory voters tend to be vehement opponents of developments in their area. An ill-though-out mess. #r4today
Andy Burnham is refreshingly honest and clear on #r4today. He's got a vision of where he wants the UK to go, tho' some will disagree, and a possible idea of how to finance it in the long term. His problem will be finding the money now to begin change. And can he say no to people?
Donald Trump just gave a display of nauseating obsequiousness towards Xi Jinping. And that's just in public. We have no idea how much further he went in private. The USA turned a blind eye to China's support for Russia and for Iran.
He loves dictators and hates democrats.
