AI neurons run on simple math. Real neurons are far weirder. A new open dataset fitted 1,000+ PyTorch-ready neuron models to real mouse and human cells. Does brain-like diversity make AI better? It's still an open question, but now it's testable. bit.ly/3WfGAwR

Diffusion MRI (dMRI) is a powerful tool to study white matter maturation. In our new preprint, we process and distribute a new resource of >24,000 ABCD dMRI scans using open source tools! We then evaluate how methods shape inferences about development. 🔗 bit.ly/3QMLG0K

College coaches teach bad character. It’s been the Big Lie that coaches teach good character and morality to their players. In fact, the truth is exact opposite.

The lack of good character among coaches was one of the most disgusting things about college football. We see corruption and immorality everywhere among the coaches.

The extension of DST into October already costs children’s lives each year. The extension of DST year-round in 1974 also cost lives. Stop so-called “Sunshine Protection”. Ditch DST with permanent Standard Time instead! xitter.cf/SaveStandard/status/21…

Another crash in morning darkness. This was at 6am EDT. Dawn was 6:52am EDT. Sunrise was 7:17am EDT. 😔 If Florida had permanent Standard Time, dawn would’ve been 5:52am EST, sunrise would’ve been 6:17am EST; everyone would’ve had more light and likely more sleep. 🧡
