Actually we were correct to note Trump’s routinely bizarre, obsequious posture toward Putin. Just because you chose not to see it until now when it’s shoved directly in everyone’s face doesn’t make us hysterical, it makes you transparently wrong all along.
There's been a lot of hysteria over the years at Trump's posture towards Russia, which has often been worse rhetorically than practically. But this time, the wolf comes as a wolf.

Lindsay Graham is such a cautionary tale. Even in death, Trump is selling him out to Putin.

Tough medicine for those who fret about holding jackals accountable, claim Dems’ only path forward is droning some poll-tested message about kitchen tables (or some such), and always assume jackal accountability must be distinct from kitchen table talk
Corruption is going to be one of the biggest issues of the 2028 election. And candidates who can speak about it in a compelling way — and can effectively draw a direct line from corruption to other top issues, like how it affects the cost of living — will be rewarded by voters. Per the latest Fox News poll, more voters are concerned about corruption in government (88%) than they are about inflation/high prices (85%) & gas prices (83%). And it’s not just one side that’s worried about it — 73% of liberals, 64% of moderates & 49% of conservatives are “extremely concerned” about it. How they define corruption — and who is partaking in it — may differ, but there’s a populist anti-corruption mantle that’s just waiting to be snatched up.

“But if I gave them a couple pure facts, and they understand it easily, this is related to the Strait of Hormuz...” Competition is pretty stiff, but the best news House Dems may get this week is this pompous, very weird, bumbler plans to stay on as GOP Leader
Speaker Johnson: “Everybody’s frustrated about the high prices of fuel, obviously, but that’s not related to policies, that’s not related to Republicans in office… …this is related to the straight of Hormuz.” Who wants to tell him?

Let’s be clear about what’s happening:

Donald Trump is using the Department of Justice to target his political opponents. He wants to draw attention away from his failed leadership weeks before the election. I stand with Ilhan.
I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

If Milwaukee and Cleveland meet in the World Series, it would be the first time in history that the World Series features two cities where the Edmund Fitzgerald once docked. In case you were wondering.

unfortunately even now too many people can't/won't acknowledge what is obviously true: we have a corrupted, depraved, extremist party, and a normal party with normal political flaws saying so harms some people's relationships or self-image of being even-handed but it's a fact

Troy Jackson is not the most dynamic speaker I've ever heard, but if Maine voters demanded eloquence or charisma from their politicians Susan Collins wouldn't have been serving them in the Senate since the Coolidge administration
Based on tonight’s debate, Collins seems entombed in the category of senators who are past their sell-by dates but remain certain they have a formula—and then find themselves doddering on a debate stage and then, after election day, wondering why that formula didn’t work anymore.

Folks, check your polling assumptions + takes on here against one near certainty: Trump is in a new stratosphere of unpopularity unlike any previous cycle (So recalled vote of T +6 in a +12 state doesn’t necessarily = a biased poll rn)

Great ad for Zach Dembo in KY 06 -- and open seat. This is one of those cycles where Dembo could wake up a congressman if we all give him a little help here. Smart to connect him to Matt Bevin, who left office unliked. And a great cameo by @AndyBeshearKY at the end @HouseMajPAC @dccc @KyDems
#KY06: D candidate Zach Dembo is up on TV with this spot featuring a cameo from @AndyBeshearKY -- Dembo to camera: "I'm Zach Dembo and this is my opponent. OK, you got me. That's a cardboard cutout of Matt Bevin. But, Ralph Alvarado is basically the same guy" "He was Bevin's running mate, backed his attacks and seniors, Medicaid and kept silent while Bevin pardoned hundreds of criminals, including a child rapist"

Less than *one month* out from the election, I think Dem accounts with a lot of reach need to decide if they’re more interested in defeating Republicans & helping to defang the last two years of the Trump admin…or furthering their own little pet intra-party/ideological grudges.
Barack Obama, the purveyor of failed neoliberal policies that brought us Trump in the first place?
