Apple Vision Pro team, I’m begging you: please give us a 1:1 screen recording option.
Right now, recordings are essentially 16:9 and crop out the lower part of the experience, making it surprisingly hard to show spatial UI, hand interactions, and full context.
More importantly, it hides the magic of seeing your real arms and hands naturally occlude virtual content so seamlessly that you stop noticing it.
Please give creators and developers the framing they need to show what Vision Pro can do better than any other headset.

AirPods Max could be a personal acoustic camera.
It feels like a missed opportunity that @Apple doesn’t let us record and replay the sound reconstructed by Transparency mode. Imagine capturing not just how a place sounds, but what it feels like to actually be there.
Hey Meta Quest devs and content creators!
You know how much friction goes into getting the perfect footage for trailers, demos, and content.
The recorder is there. The pro controls live on desktop.
I built a pocket control panel for the Meta Quest recorder. – at San Francisco, CA

Living in real time inside alternate realities, with a headset on your eyes, has never felt this close.
But the real magic, the kind that actually fools the brain, will only happen in passthrough. Not see through. I will die on this hill.
Xmax X1, the first real-time interactive video model, is here.
Powered by autoregressive streaming generation, X1 achieves millisecond ultra-low latency and infinite-length generation, enabling truly natural spatial interaction.
Camera is redefined. It’s no longer just a lens, but a magic wand that breaks the barrier between dimensions. Summon virtual beings into your reality and interact with them in real-time.
Live implementation video is below, truely amazing work! Definitely one to watch.
I’ll be serving as both a judge and a mentor at Frontier Tower for SensAI Hack San Francisco 2025, which is just around the corner!
What I love about hackathons is that they’re not just about pushing a prototype in a few days. They’re one of the best ways to show what makes you unique. A single strong project can give you more visibility than months of sending résumés into the void. When your ideas hit the right note, the right people come to you.
What I’m looking forward to the most is seeing how teams think beyond the box, not tech for tech’s sake, but concepts that hit real problems and real use cases. XR + AI is an incredible playground, but only meaningful ideas survive the hype cycle.
And the competition is stacked:
🏆 Hackers battling for $10,000 and bragging rights in the global tour
🧠 Real-time innovation with XR + AI toolkits
🌍 The best prototypes competing to define the future of spatial tech
Can’t wait to see the wild ideas, the sharp thinking, and the team that walks away with the crown. See you in SF

Continuing my hobby dev project.
Now the Meta Quest’s depth data can be streamed remotely together with position and orientation to visualize the surrounding structure in real time.
I am thinking of new ideas based on this, so feel free to share yours.

How long before Google lets us revisit photos from our Google Photos library like this... or even rewatch our home videos from a different angle?
I’m excited to see what happens when this meets Google’s new XR initiative.
Another one. Already a powerful painting, but moving around it yourself gives a totally different feeling.

Not “Are we in a simulation?” but which layer are we on… and who’s ruining ours?

What if you could not only watch a generated video, but explore it too? 🌐
Genie 3 is our groundbreaking world model that creates interactive, playable environments from a single text prompt.
From photorealistic landscapes to fantasy realms, the possibilities are endless. 🧵
You know this will happen sooner or later, live, in passthrough, on your XR device. Experience the world your way, while staying connected to others and to what we all share: physical reality.
Sooner apparently! nitter.cf/DecartAI/status/194594…
Apple and Meta are still missing the point when it comes to spatial productivity.
Going monitor-free or showing the weather in 3d space isn't enough. There's not enough value in replacing a frictionless setup like a laptop and mouse unless the spatial environment unlocks something radically more powerful: a creative work space so fluid and enabling that you wouldn't want to work any other way.
I created this "Spatial AI Workbench" mockup a while ago to explore that exact idea.

With Modify Video, the lowest hanging fruit would be to play one game, in many many different worlds 🥹

just installed the first public Dream Park access point on Third St Promenade turning the entire street into a game, coming soon to Quest 3 with camera access! First of many AR theme parks we’ll be setting up all over the world!

I just released a 2.5 hour long tutorial to show how to build a Mixed Reality game in Unity from start to finish.
This is the most in depth tutorial I made on XR with:
✅Passthrough Setup
✅ Scene model
✅ Spawning objects
✅ Navmesh
✅ Publishing your game on the Meta Store!

🚀 Just launched… a Starship! (Well, in AR 😉)
Built an AR experience for Snapchat @Spectacles where you launch a SpaceX Starship, and guide the booster back to a 3D-printed launch tower using a pinch gesture. Super interesting to blend physical objects with spatial interaction!
