design tip 🌲 - size icons with 𝟷𝚌𝚊𝚙, not 𝚙𝚡.
𝟷𝚌𝚊𝚙 is the height of a capital letter in the current font, so the icon tracks the text at any size:
.𝚕𝚊𝚋𝚎𝚕 {
𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚢: 𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚡;
𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚗-𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚖𝚜: 𝚋𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎;
}
.𝚕𝚊𝚋𝚎𝚕 𝚜𝚟𝚐 {
𝚋𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔-𝚜𝚒𝚣𝚎: 𝟷𝚌𝚊𝚙;
}
𝚋𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 sits the icon on the text's baseline, so it spans the caps in any font. the width follows the 𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚠𝙱𝚘𝚡.

We care a lot about design and craft at @interfere_. Rather than just say it, we decided to show our work and publish our design system. Brought to you by @jakubkrehel and I :)

css tip ◎
use 𝚜𝚊𝚏𝚎 𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛 on a row that can overflow.
with plain center, a row wider than its box spills off both sides.
𝚜𝚊𝚏𝚎 𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛 centers while it fits and starts at the left edge when it doesn't:
.𝚝𝚊𝚋𝚜 {
𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚢: 𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚡;
𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚢-𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝: 𝚜𝚊𝚏𝚎 𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛;
𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚘𝚠-𝚡: 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚘;
}

Nerded out on squircles and css corner-shape last few days.
Since Webkit is actively working on the corner-shape implementation I figured now is the time.
I wrote a little article about what I learned and how you can use it right now as a progressive enhancement.

I built out a new way to generate color ramps. Previous ones leveraged algorithmic approaches to try and estimate how our eyes perceived light. Mathmatical models are bad at representing human color preference.
I made a free one based on image models: tools.diffui.ai/palette

We merged a couple of areas into a new one called Activity. Fewer tabs, but still easy to access what you need.

Your coding agent knows :has(), subgrid and anchor positioning. It just rarely reaches for them.
I built good-css so it does: 47 modern CSS techniques your agent uses first.

experimental css tip 🚨:
𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚘𝚠-𝚡: 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚘 breaks your sticky table header.
it makes the wrapper a scroll container on both axes, so the header sticks to the wrapper instead of the page.
𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚘𝚠: 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚘 clip scrolls sideways only:
.𝚝𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎-𝚠𝚛𝚊𝚙 {
𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚘𝚠: 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚘 𝚌𝚕𝚒𝚙;
}
𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚍 {
𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗: 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚢;
𝚝𝚘𝚙: 𝟶;
}
