I have a lot of fun doing play-by-play, and 2025 was very enjoyable I was privileged to call another Stonehouse Cup final at the end of the PJHL season, as well as some JPHL action (including eventual 3rd overall WHL pick Liam Pue). Also some bonus UBC Baseball in the summer!

Had to do a double take to make sure this was correct, but Arrighetti has taken the L in all 4 of his appearances as a Jay so far.

Is The Juice in the room with us right now?
Josh Goldberg@JGoldberg12Aug 19
The juice isn’t worth the squeeze with Sanchez Too many costly blunders and not enough production at the plate

Re: the stupid Red Sox rule Could this not be weaponized? Short fly ball and don’t think your runner can beat a throw? Send him home immediately and get your runner on 1st caught in a rundown - bam, free run.

If you can’t spend the absolute bare minimum on a graphic artist/designer, where else are you cutting corners? Food safety? I’m sure as hell not taking that risk.

Nice job getting the puck to the net, but that's one that Beckman will be kicking himself over. No backdoor threat. Beaten on a clean shot from the wing to the opposite side of the net. He's still transitioning to butterfly, then reacts with the blocker after the puck is gone.

I'd have to see the reverse angle to tell if the shot changed direction at all, but from this angle it looks like the two sticks come together after the puck is already released.

I had coffee this week with a sports psychologist who works in prisons. She asked incarcerated youth what led them down the wrong path. The answer surprised her, and me. Link in thread.

The Twins WILL be buyers at the trade deadline after clawing their way back into the thick of a wide-open American League race. They're betting on Tommy Nance's electric stuff here. He owns a 110 proStuff+ and a strong 15.1% K-BB%, making this a classic bounce back play.

Feel bad for the Rockies. They would have gotten at least one out at 2nd base on that play if the correct call is made.
