Another happy customer who's found, funded and fulfilled energy savings with our help:

Energy bills are going up tomorrow. For some people, a real problem. Here's 2 big things to know:
1) Take a meter reading today - accurate bills rather than estimates could save you lots
2) bbc.co.uk/news/av/business-6… quick video to help households

Business Energy subsidies announced today = 6 months partial relief from October gov.uk/government/news/gover…
A long-term fix? No!
Long-term solution:
1) Understand
2) Control
3) Reduce your grid energy usage

£2.5k is NOT the cap. How £2.5k household energy cap is calculated + comparisons for high/low use
Average energy use:
2,900kWh electric
12,000kWh gas
3,100kWh x 34p per kWh = £1,054
12,000kWh x 10.3p per kWh = £1,236
SUB TOTAL: £2,290
Standing charges: £273
TOTAL £2;563

The notion that our economy can somehow grow exponentially forever, on a small and overheating planet, is absurd

When it comes to the carbon footprint of our diet, we focus on things like transport and packaging (the brown bit).
But most of the emissions come from land use and activities on the farm (green bit).
This is why *what* you eat matters much more.

Since starting, we've helped many community organisations. It's some of our most rewarding work. Recently, we bumped into the ace team @ almachurch.co.uk; not only did we see energy savings, but also pointed them to @RefugeesAtHome to help a vulnerable lady #business4good

Our new energy minister wants to 'drill every last drop' from the North Sea, inviting climate calamity.
@ChiefExecCCC explains brilliantly why @Jacob_Rees_Mogg's plan won't help energy prices, and sets out a robust plan for saving money AND environment.

Government plans:
1) Dislike lack of windfall tax on #bigoil, and tax burden
2) Like that Renewables & Nuclear to reduce their price as it will save consumers AND drive investment in #Renewables harder
3) Dislike the lack of support for #energyefficiency

Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet.
I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.
Great to see our clients pride for their contribution to #netzero alexandermay.co.uk/blog/alex…. Well done, @bristolagents @TemwaUK
What makes sustainable construction? We're undertaking a survey about sustainable building practices. If you've been part of a building project recently, we'd love to get 5 minutes of your input via this short online survey: forms.office.com/r/GtghtcDBK…

With some big #CostOfLiving crisis coming, it was great to contribute to @bgreencapital library of ideas on reducing emissions. #NetZero
Our latest 'Spotlight On' article as part of our Climate Action Programme focuses on different ways to fund your organisation's energy saving measures.
Many thanks to Simon Pyne of @GreenergyFuture for sharing his insights #ClimateActionBristol

The folly of a World in which we seem to put so much land aside for Xmas trees, golf and cattle! Surely the World in 10/20 years will have different priorities?
Today seems like a good day to share this amazing graphic of UK land use
(I estimate solar farms cover less than one tenth of one percent of the UK – 0.08%)

We've just begun a project working with @gcparchitects and linkedin.com/in/mark-dodswor… to investigate market opportunities for sustainable construction. We'll share insights as we go! #sustainabledevelopment #netzero @UKGBC
Net Zero needs more than a small team to fix it. Great to be working with @MYAconsulting to help even more organisations tackle the #ClimateCrisis #environmentalconsultants

And another client wins a grant! This time, @SouthmeadDT have won funding to improve lighting in a community hall that is used by many different groups, and will soon be better lit and use much less energy and carbon (>£1000, and >1 tonne CO2! Thanks again to @QuartetCF @briznrg
Glad to see the Government confirming Sizewell C as additional non-fossil fuel, albeit by the time it comes online (average 10 years) it may be late for Net Zero and very pricy compared to alternatives
