Me and my publisher didn’t pay for a single YouTuber or streamer to play Twisted Tower. The reason you see people playing is because we sent out keys…. A TON OF KEYS. Personally via email. Like 200 or 300 I can’t remember. Full on “grass roots” I think they call it. Don’t be afraid to just do the leg work and send personal emails

I agree with the observer pattern and the state machine. I'm currently finding the factory pattern very convenient. Also the command pattern is very cool forbspecific use cases.

My most essential game dev design patterns? - Singleton (easy global access, perfect for things where you have just one, like a SoundSystem) - Observer/Events (clean decoupled systems) - State Machine (perfect for simple state based logic like AI) There's tons more useful ones you can learn but at least make sure you fully know these 3. Personally I've used these 3 in every literally single Steam game I've made, very useful! - Code Monkey
