A strong turnout of partners, stakeholders, community representatives, and civil society actors gathered in Port Harcourt for the Community Town Hall on Oil Divestment and Transition Accountability in the Niger Delta. The crucial event organized by HEDA Resource Centre with support from Transparency International and the Natural Resource Governance Institute (@NRGInstitute) was filled with active participation, honest contributions, and shared concerns as discussions focused on transparency, environmental responsibility, and the need for inclusive community participation in the ongoing divestment process in the Niger Delta. From different perspectives and experiences, participants engaged meaningfully, highlighting the importance of ensuring that oil asset transitions do not come at the expense of host communities and the environment.
