Yesterday was exactly one year since I got off opiates, if I kept going I wouldn't have made it till Christmas. Since then I have gotten an incredible job/career, worked towards fixing finances (I spent £30~ a day for years on pills/morphine) and saved my own life. I am proud.
There’s an aging trend no one warned me about, as I reach my mid 30s I can feel the early onset of enjoying Pearl Jam. I hated them but now? I feel it seeping in. Eddie Vedder you win this round.

Hey nerds aside from sad life stuff I’ve started playing a lot of pokemon vgc and competed at my first local event yesterday, wildly I won it without dropping a game which means I have esports prize money in 2026. That’s fun. Gonna try and play some more events and improve more!
Tomorrow I am driving to Cornwall for a very close friend’s funeral. He was not even 40, had no health issues that he knew of and yet after feeling sick one day he collapsed and was gone. Life is not fair, I may not be the broadcaster I was but I love every one of you nerds still

I have officially been discharged from rehab. From a nightly routine of nearly dying to complete recovery and a release from years of opiate addiction. It’s not over, it never will be the hardest part is done though! One year, 4 months, 6 days. That’s a long time but I did it.
