GB News presenter Alex Armstrong and commentator Bernadette Spofforth have been ordered to apologise to and pay damages to @MothinAli after suggesting he took part in the racist riots in Leeds in 2024. In reality, he was asked to attend the scene by the police. He then tried to calm the situation and even put himself in danger by trying to stop someone from pushing a wheelie bin into a fire.

When I voted against proscribing Palestine Action, I warned there could be so many draconian consequences.
We've had the ridiculous arrests of thousands for simply holding a sign.
And now this against one of the best writers of her generation.

It’s reported today that Sally Rooney, who many believe is one of the best authors of her generation, has been advised that because she has expressed support for Palestine Action she could be arrested if she comes to the UK. Because she is donating some of the money from the sale of her books to Palestine Action her publishers have been advised that they too could be prosecuted if they sell her books in any form and so they have removed them from the bookshelves and other outlets. I do not want anyone in the UK to miss out on her wonderful writing and so I thought I would read the first paragraphs of her terrific book “Normal People.” I hope others will read further sections of the book so that people do not lose out on the joy of reading h her works.

You really can’t make this up. Reform councillor Dean Miller claimed he wasn’t racist, only to call Black children “animals” in the same breath. He also believes King Charles is a Muslim who has prayer mats and has said his head should be cut off.
Meanwhile, Raymond Dunning, who has been asked to stand as an MP for Reform, wants to deport children and train young men aged 18 to 30 to go street by street arresting migrants, including those who are here legally.

This is where we're at. Children of volunteer RNLI crew members are now being bullied at school simply because of their parents' roles. Meanwhile, crew members are being cornered in local pubs, cornor shops and called "traitors" and "cowards" to their faces.
