Please. This silence you used to fill is getting deafening. I don't even care about anything else anymore. I just want my friend back.
I've never hidden who I am; I've been open on the fact that I've been #genderfluid, I let friends know the correct pronouns for me when they ask, I've been extremely vocal on wishing for more gender-neutral clothing, or wanting female-centric clothing.
Some friends see LGBTQ individuals as overtly aggressive and sensitive (in some cases, yes), but also choose not to accommodate or accept these individuals as who they are.
I correct them wherever I can without overstepping my boundaries, but some people don't want to learn.
I think because I'm easily seen as male-presenting, so most of my friends choose to see me that way, and make no effort in trying to change what feels "comfortable" for them.
Often days I'll take it in stride, but sometimes, like today, I just want to talk about it.
