Singapore is considering reducing the drink-drive limit. I still maintain that reducing the limit is a good thing, even if some suggest it is drasconian.

One of the (many) things I like about Singapore is its approach to crime. Undertaking operations such as this should help to deter criminals and reduce crime. It will not eradicate it; that is a utopia we cannot achieve. But it creates a safer place to live.

An article on the shortcomings of AI in education, which reads as thoughtful and heartfelt. I generally support students supplementing assessments with an oral defence, and the discussion on that point made me pause for thought.

An article in which commentators propose that while AI tools can provide support in many areas, they will not replace what makes us uniquely human, and it is those skills that will be in demand in the future.

Using AI tools in education is a fine balancing act. It can restrict the ability to think independently. However, if used correctly, it can enhance learning and supplement what a teacher can provide in class.

The UK's Financial Services Regulations Committee calls for an inquiry into consumer insurance regulation.
I suspect, somewhat cynically, that this will result in more, not less, regulation.

One in three UK customers is comfortable with AI in insurance but wants human checks and robust regulation.
The sentiments in the results seem plausible. The question is, do customers even know when and how AI is used?
